since引导状语从句
since可以引导时间状语从句和原因状语从句。引导时间状语从句表示“自从……”，常用的句子结构有：
1.It has been+一段时间+since+一般过去时，比如：It has been 8 years since he moved to China. 他来中国已经8年了。
2. It was+一段时间+since+过去完成时，比如：It was eight years since I'd moved to London. 我搬到伦敦已经八年了。
3. 现在完成时+since+一般过去时，比如：He hasn’t played basketball since 泰国哪个师傅情降厉害 he left school. 他离开学校后就没打过篮球。
since也可以引导原因状语从句，和because引导原因状语从句的区别在于：because引导的从句是整个句子的重点，而since引导的从句不是整个句子的重点。比如：Let’s begin our meeting since everyone is here. 这句话的重点是主句。I did it because he told me to. 这句话的重点是because引导的从句。

where引导状语从句
where可以引导名词性从句、定语从句和状语从句。where可以引导地点状语从句，表示谓语动作或状态发生的地点：比如：You can sit where you like. 你可以随便坐哪。where有时不指具体的地点，而是表示“在哪一个方面”，比如：Where others are strong, he is weak. 别人强的地方，他却弱。

as if引导状语从句
as if可以跟在系动词后引导表语从句，常见的系动词有：be, seem, smell, look, taste。翻译为“好像”，比如：The food smells as if it has gone bad. 这食物闻起来好像已经坏了。
as if也可以引导方式状语从句，表达可能发生的情况，比如：You look as if you haven’t slept for days. 你看起来好像好几天没睡觉了（这种情况是可能的）。
as if也可以表达不符合事实的情况，在英语中这叫做虚拟语气，比如：He acted as if he were the CEO。他表现得好像他是首席执行官一样（他事实上不是）。

so (...) that引导状语从句
so ... that和so that可以引导不同的状语从句。so ... that引导结果状语从句，翻译为“如此……以致于”，比如：The theory was so difficult that few people could understand it. 这个理论太难了，很少有人能理解。注意so ... that中的so所修饰的是形容词、副词或过去分词。
so that引导目的状语从句，翻译为“以便”，比如：I moved my legs out of the way so that she could get past. 我挪开腿以便让她过去。注意so that前后是两个完整的句子。
